  Barry is great, very quick and thorough, can repair anything from diamond rings to costume jewelry! Highly recommend!

  Barry was awesome! We had two rings that were a little loose, both old, dainty, family heirlooms that I was petrified to have work done on. Barry was so easy to work with and really made us feel confident about the whole process. During the consultation, he walked through each step to size down the rings (there were hand drawn diagrams involved!) as well as sizing alternatives like balls and priced everything out. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the best thing about Barry is that he's very honest and you know you can trust what he says. Some other jewelers might try to prod you into spending more on this and that, but Barry gave us his honest opinion that we should probably keep the eternity band, that would have cost a whole lot to size due to the way it was constructed, as is and size the engagement ring down to wear snug over it. This saved us hundreds of dollars, literally. Our fragile little ring came back perfectly sized, clean and sparkly. I would encourage anyone needing work done on their rings to go see him.

  Barry is an incredible jewelry- an artist with skills that are hard to find these days. Barry repaired my 40 year old husband's 1st Communion gold necklace that he has worn religiously since he was 8 years old to perfection again. It was worn out after 32 years of daily wear. He also repaired a pair of stud earrings for my daughter. They were by no means quality earrings, but they were important to her, so he did what he could to make them good as new. Barry is fair, honest, and does impeccable work. I highly recommend him to all in the Atlanta area. Worth the drive from the suburbs. He has been in business for decades and prides himself on his work.

  A small diamond side stone (chip diamonds) in my engagement ring fell out.

I found out some quotes at local places to get it replaced, and it was quite a pretty penny. Thanks to yelpers, I found Barry Evans Russ and not only was my bank account grateful for his help, but he cleaned the rings, resized both rings in the set, replaced the missing stone and two others that were loose (we wanted him to check that as well, just in case any more were on the way to go missing). He is quite busy and you have to make an appointment, but he does such good quality work and you get the sense you are handing your jewelry over to a true artist who has devoted his life to this craft.

I could only imagine what a custom piece by him is like!

  If I could give 6 stars, I would. I went to Barry with my engagement ring that had a few loose stones. He was prompt with his replies to my email to set up a time to meet with him and was very accommodating. He's the type of person that gives off the genuine, honest, feel good vibe. He gave me an extremely reasonable quote and when I went to pick it up he had tightened a few extra prongs and cleaned it! It's always nice to go go a jeweler this day in age and not feel like you're being ripped off.

  Barry is amazing!!!! Barry came highly recommended by my father in law because he actually designed my mother in-law's engagement ring back in the late 1980's. His knowledge, experience, and expertise comes out in his work; he worked with us on designing the PERFECT engagement ring for me based on my preference and lifestyle (I wanted a lower profile, sturdy ring that wasn't set in prongs - he suggested the half bezel which was perfect). He also brought my husband's vision of his dream wedding band to life! I can't recommend him enough!

  I was in dire need of having my necklace fixed. I was traveling into Buckhead from out of town for a wedding and needed a last minute repair of my favorite piece. Barry welcomed us in with some true southern hospitality. Even though he said he works by appointment only, he didn't turn us away from his door. He fixed my necklace in less than 20 minutes by fully replacing the clasp with a new one and it looks great. We had great conversation as he was working, Barry is a true music fan and a stand up gentleman!! Highly recommend visiting his shop/website!

  I was looking for a custom jeweler to make a ring. I stumbled upon Barry's website and decided to give him a call. I met him at his shop in Buckhead and we discussed what I wanted. Fast forward a week and a half, and I have the most perfect ring on my right hand - designed and fabricated by Barry. His pricing estimate was spot on and it was ready exactly when he said it would be.

Barry does excellent work and is just a really cool dude (he also has fantastic taste in music). You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers...anytime I need jewelry made or repaired, I'm going to him.

  Barry is super sweet and was able to repair an intricately decorated family heirloom for a very reasonable price! I will go back to him every time! He even makes custom pieces!
